The death of a teacher is one of those things that school counselors train for but hypothetical situations often fall short of the real thing. I learned this lesson the hard way. Two weeks ago, one of my teachers (and a dear friend) died suddenly. In the prime of his life, his death shocked (and shook) students, parents, and staff alike.
