A school counseling brochure is an excellent way to get the word out about the comprehensive programming you provide at your school. A lot of parents aren’t aware of what services school counselors provide. Some might associate you with the guidance counselors from their childhood (back when most school counselors spent their days in their office scheduling classes). They totally missed the memo about how school counselors provide dynamic data-focused comprehensive programming.

Promoting the elementary school counseling program during the school’s open house is a vital part of connecting with students and their families.

I freshened up my elementary counseling brochure to go along with my Meet the Counselor poster. I created the original when I started 12 years ago, and let’s just say it was time to freshen it up a bit!

Here is the outside:

Now here is an editable version for you! The document is an editable PDF file so you should be able to just click in the blank areas to add your text. Click here or on the image below to download.

Not at the elementary level? Are you a social worker, adjustment counselor, ect.? Feel free to use my brochure as inspiration to create something that works better for your program.

Onward and upward…what are you doing to get ready for school or are you already back?

    1. I love the brochure but when I print on my printer at school the purple in the schedule section is way to dark and you can’t read the words. Is there a way to change this?

  2. I can’t seem to get this to download so I can edit it. Is there a better link or can you e-mail me a version. Thank you!!

      Hello!
The PDF is editable in that you can add your own information in the text boxes. As long as you can open the pdf, you should be able to enter your information into the boxes. The entire document is not editable at this time.
      Kind regards,
      Heather

      Hello!

I’m glad you like the brochure. 🙂

Due to the clip art terms of use, I am not able to share a completely editable version of this document. Please feel free to use the brochure as a template to create your own with the wording of your choice!

      Best wishes,
      Heather

  4. Hi Heather,
Thank you for sharing your expertise and talents! You truly are a very helpful counselor!!
    I love this counseling brochure!!
However, the purple part is coming out too dark and the information that I typed into that section cannot be read. Is there any way I could change or lighten that purple rectangle that says “Schedule”?
I am not asking to edit the whole brochure, but just that purple color.
    Thank you for your help!
    Mary

Sorry! I wish I was fluent enough to make one.

I would be happy to host a Spanish version (or any other language) on my blog if my multi-lingual readers care to share their talents with me.

      🙂

  6. I could probably get it translated for you….Would you be able to use the same format but in Spanish? Or incorporate it in the same brochure?

  7. Thank you so much! I actually made my own brochure, but used some of your ideas for what information I should list. It was really helpful!
